```{index} single: select_font_face (Cairo::Context) ``` ```{index} single: Cairo::Context::select_font_face ``` # select_font_face Selects a font by family name for subsequent `show_text` and `text_extents` calls. $cr->select_font_face('Sans', 'normal', 'bold'); `$family` is a font family such as `'Sans'` or `'Serif'`, `$slant` is one of `'normal'`, `'italic'` or `'oblique'`, and `$weight` is `'normal'` or `'bold'`. The family is interpreted as text, so accented and non-Latin names work. This is the simple font-selection interface; `set_font_face` takes a font object instead. Wraps `cairo_select_font_face`.
