```{index} single: create (Cairo::FtFontFace) ``` ```{index} single: Cairo::FtFontFace::create ``` # create Not available: calling it always croaks. A FreeType font face can only be built from a `Font::FreeType::Face` object, and pperl does not provide `Font::FreeType`, so nothing can produce the argument this method needs. It will work once `Font::FreeType` is available as a native libfreetype binding. Until then only the class itself exists: `Cairo::FtFontFace` still inherits from `Cairo::FontFace`, so `isa` and `can` answer correctly, and a face cairo reports as a FreeType one is still blessed into this class.
