```{index} single: VERSION_ENCODE (Cairo) ``` ```{index} single: Cairo::VERSION_ENCODE ``` ```{index} single: Cairo::LIB_VERSION_ENCODE ``` # VERSION_ENCODE Encodes a cairo version triple into the single integer that `Cairo::LIB_VERSION` returns: `major * 10000 + minor * 100 + micro`. Also available as `Cairo::LIB_VERSION_ENCODE`. Spelled `Cairo::VERSION_ENCODE` or `Cairo::LIB_VERSION_ENCODE`, and callable both as a plain function, `Cairo::VERSION_ENCODE(1, 2, 0)`, and as a class method, `Cairo->VERSION_ENCODE(1, 2, 0)`. The last three arguments are the ones read, so the class-method form's leading class name is ignored. Called with fewer numbers, the missing minor and micro components count as 0.
