```{index} single: jit_counts (Config) ``` ```{index} single: Config::jit_counts ``` # jit_counts Say how much code the JIT has compiled so far. ## Synopsis ```perl use Config; my ($compiled, $seen) = Config::jit_counts(); ``` ## What you get back Two numbers, both counted since the program started: the loops the JIT has compiled to machine code, and the loops it has seen and counts the trips of. Neither goes down when code is freed again. An empty list when the JIT is off or this pperl was built without it. ## Examples ```perl my ($before) = Config::jit_counts(); my $sum = 0; $sum += $_ * $_ for 1 .. 1_000_000; my ($after) = Config::jit_counts(); print "the loop was compiled\n" if defined $after && $after > $before; ``` ## Differences from upstream pperl's own; perl has no such function.
