```{index} single: Encode::Symbol ``` # Encode::Symbol ```{pperl-module-badges} Encode::Symbol ``` `Encode::Symbol` - the symbol-font encodings: `symbol`, `dingbats`, `AdobeSymbol`, `AdobeZdingbat`, `MacSymbol` and `MacDingbats`. Nothing needs to be loaded: `Encode` loads this module the first time one of its encodings is named, as in `decode('symbol', $bytes)`. This is a native implementation of Encode::Symbol 2.02, from the same tables as upstream; `Encode/Symbol.pm` is used unchanged. ## Differences from upstream None.
