```{index} single: ExtUtils::HasCompiler ``` # ExtUtils::HasCompiler whether a distribution's compiled part will work (pperl) ## SYNOPSIS ```perl use ExtUtils::HasCompiler 0.014 'can_compile_loadable_object'; die 'This distribution requires a working compiler' unless can_compile_loadable_object(quiet => 1); ``` ## DESCRIPTION The interface of ExtUtils::HasCompiler 0.025. pperl builds no C: the compiled parts it supports are built into it. So each function answers true when every module the distribution in the current directory loads through `XSLoader::load` or `bootstrap` is built into pperl, and false otherwise. ## FUNCTIONS ### can\_compile\_loadable\_object(%opts) ### can\_compile\_static\_library(%opts) ### can\_compile\_extension(%opts) All three give the same answer. Without `quiet => 1` they print it. Other options are accepted and ignored.
