```{index} single: adapters (Peta::WebGPU) ``` ```{index} single: Peta::WebGPU::adapters ``` # adapters Every graphics adapter this machine offers, as a list of hash references. Each carries `name`, `backend` (`"Vulkan"`, `"Metal"`, `"Dx12"`, `"Gl"`), `device_type` (`"DiscreteGpu"`, `"IntegratedGpu"`, `"Cpu"`, `"Other"`) and `driver`. A machine commonly has more than one - an integrated chip and a discrete card, or the same card through two different backends: ```perl for my $a (Peta::WebGPU::adapters()) { printf "%-14s %-14s %s\n", $a->{backend}, $a->{device_type}, $a->{name}; } ``` Which one `Peta::WebGPU::Device->new` picks is decided by its `power` option, not by this list; the list is for reporting and for deciding whether the machine has the card you need.
