show_text

Draws $text at the current point using the current font and source, then advances the current point past what was drawn.

$cr->move_to(10, 40); $cr->show_text(‘Hello’);

The string is taken as text, so non-ASCII characters are drawn correctly. This is the convenience interface meant for simple labels; use show_glyphs or a text-shaping library for real typography. Wraps cairo_show_text.
