ExtUtils::HasCompiler#

whether a distribution’s compiled part will work (pperl)

SYNOPSIS#

use ExtUtils::HasCompiler 0.014 'can_compile_loadable_object';
die 'This distribution requires a working compiler'
    unless can_compile_loadable_object(quiet => 1);

DESCRIPTION#

The interface of ExtUtils::HasCompiler 0.025. pperl builds no C: the compiled parts it supports are built into it. So each function answers true when every module the distribution in the current directory loads through XSLoader::load or bootstrap is built into pperl, and false otherwise.

FUNCTIONS#

can_compile_loadable_object(%opts)#

can_compile_static_library(%opts)#

can_compile_extension(%opts)#

All three give the same answer. Without quiet => 1 they print it. Other options are accepted and ignored.
