_exit

Terminate the process immediately with the given status, skipping END blocks, destructors, and stdio flushing.

Synopsis

POSIX::_exit(0);

POSIX::exit is a different function: perl’s own exit, which does run END blocks and destructors.

Differences from upstream

Fully compatible with upstream POSIX.
