SetControlChars#

Change a terminal’s control characters.

Synopsis#

SetControlChars(INTERRUPT => "\cX", EOF => 4, \*STDIN);

How it works#

Takes name/value pairs as GetControlChars returns them, and an odd last argument as the handle (STDIN without one). A value that is a number is the character’s code; any other the first character of its string. An unknown name dies “Invalid control character passed to SetControlChars” before any change is made; a handle that is not a terminal dies “Unable to read terminal settings in SetControlChars”.
